Project Details
Our client approached us to design their contemporary farmhouse vision. With a predefined budget and a space constraint of 300 square meters, we were challenged to design a residence that seamlessly incorporated three bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, a two-car garage, a well-appointed kitchen, a functional scullery, an inviting lounge and dining area, and an inspiring art studio.

Architectural Design
Concept Design.
The concept design for this modern farm-style home embraces a harmonious blend of classic charm and contemporary elements. The red brick exterior lends a warm and inviting facade that pays homage to traditional farmhouses. A sleek steel roof adds a touch of industrial flair, while timber and steel accents throughout the design provide a perfect balance between rustic and modern aesthetics. Large windows with black steel frames flood the interior with natural light, connecting the residents to the picturesque bush-veld surroundings. Inside, the combination of exposed steel beams and steel fixtures continues the fusion of old and new, creating a cozy yet cutting-edge atmosphere. This home seamlessly merges the timeless appeal of a farmhouse with the clean lines and materials of modern design, offering a unique and inviting living space that captures the essence of both worlds.

Colour Scheme
The color scheme creates a harmonious and sophisticated palette that exudes warmth and elegance. Terracotta, with its rich earthy tones, serves as the foundation, adding a sense of rustic charm and vitality. Beige complements the terracotta beautifully, offering a soft, neutral backdrop that allows the other colors to shine. Black and grey are employed as accent colors, providing contrast and depth. Black adds a touch of drama and sophistication, while grey adds a cool, calming balance. Together, these colors evoke a sense of timeless style and versatility.
